About Eagle’s Nest Hotel

Established in 1994, it began as a humble traditional Hunza home and has since grown into one of the region’s premium accommodation choices for travelers from around the world. Our story is rooted in family. Founded by the late Ain Ullah and his wife—parents to five sons and six daughters—the hotel is a product of vision, hard work, and a love for Hunza’s heritage. The eldest son, Ali Madad, then serving as a soldier in the Pakistan Army, retired early to help his father build a better future for the family.

In the early 1990s, Hunza had very limited accommodation options. Foreign tourists often stayed in family homes, and the family’s first venture, Kesar Inn in Altit village, offered such a homestay experience. One day, while driving his jeep to Duikar village, Mr. Ali Madad brought two Italian women to the site. When they saw the breathtaking views, they asked him, “Why don’t you start a camping service here?” Their suggestion sparked an idea that inspired Ali Madad. He shared it with his father, the late Ain Ullah, and his family. In 1994, they began with a simple camping site on this mountaintop. A year later, they built a traditional stone-and-wood house for guests. Step by step, that small beginning grew into today’s Eagle’s Nest Hotel — a family-run property with 48 rooms and 28 kanals of land, welcoming travelers from across Pakistan and around the globe.

Eagle’s Nest Hotel offers a vantage point like no other. From here, guests can enjoy sweeping views of the Hunza and Nagar valleys, the iconic Baltit and Altit Forts, the Karakoram Highway, the Hunza River, and some of the world’s highest peaks—including Rakaposhi (7,788m), Diran Peak, Shispar Peak, and the striking Ladyfinger and Hunza Peak. Watching the sun rise and set over these giants is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

We take pride not only in our location but in the people who bring our hospitality to life. Nearly 50% of our staff are women, many from remote areas of Chitral and Ghizer, trained in-house to offer world-class service while preserving the warmth of Hunza’s cultural traditions. Every guest receives not just comfort and high-end amenities, but also an authentic connection with the mountain communities of Gilgit-Baltistan.

A Family Legacy

Today, the hotel is run by the five sons of Ain Ullah—Ali Madad (Managing Director), Bashir Ahmed, Ali Pono, Ali Ahmed Jan, and Deedar Kareem—who are committed to carrying this legacy forward for generations to come.
